Cryo Microscopy Group

The Cryo Microscopy Group (CMG) , affiliated to the Royal Microscopical Society, serves to foster interest in low temperature approaches to microscopy and analysis. Cryopreparative methods are being applied increasingly in biological scanning and transmission electron microscopy along with cryo-applications in the materials sciences. There are also emergent and established applications for cryo technology in other microscopies. The CMG annual meeting includes talks on such advances and applications, often by internationally renowned speakers. This is also a forum for communicating technique advances/results by way of posters or short talks and also allows for open discussions (see also link to CMG listserver).
