Welcome to the CMG

The Cryo Microscopy Group (CMG), affiliated to the Royal Microscopical Society, serves to foster interest in low temperature approaches to microscopy and analysis and has been meeting regularly since 1987!

Cryo-preparative methods are being applied increasingly in scanning and transmission electron microscopy along with cryo-applications in the materials sciences. There are also emergent and established applications for cryo technology in other microscopies.

Our annual meeting includes talks on advances in the field of Cryo-EM and its applications, often by internationally renowned speakers.
This is also a forum for communicating technique advances/results by way of presentations or short talks and also allows for open discussions.

There is also a lunch break and Trade Exhibition, allowing plenty of time to pick up tips and brainstorm with experts in their fields.
