Eudri Venter
Committee
Eudri started his academic career in the late 2000s in South Africa where he studied viral genetics. Those formative academic years was broadly characterised by exposure to advanced imaging techniques, which enforced his interest in all things to do with microscopes. In 2019 Eudri emigrated to the UK to further his academic expertise and spent a three-year stint in agricultural research. Following this there was an opportunity to work for an equipment manufacturer of high precision analytical and imaging equipment; serendipitously the same company that manufactured the very first microscope he ever used, which unknowingly kick-started his future career path. Now, Eudri works for JEOL UK, specialising in different applications for SEM and TEM alike, ranging from volume EM imaging to cryo imaging to most topics in between.
