Martha is a Principal Scientist at Johnson Matthey Technology Centre (JMTC) She has extensive experience in using advanced microscopy techniques, especially cryo-electron microscopy, to reveal the structure and properties of materials at the nanoscale. She leads the SEM &TEM group at JMTC, where she applies her expertise to characterise a wide range of materials for various applications. She obtained her DPhil in Materials Science from the University of Oxford and has worked at prestigious universities in the UK and the US before joining JMTC.
